After you’ve created your account, you will go through a short onboarding process. This helps personalise your experience and gets you ready to use the app. Completing the onboarding takes less than a minute.
Overview of the steps
The onboarding process has five steps. You’ll see a progress indicator at the top so you always know where you are.
- Profile details — Tell us a bit about yourself
- Topics — Choose your areas of interest (these interests will help our AI get a better understanding of you)
- First project (optional) — Hit the ground running and create your first business project by giving your project a name and a description
- Discord (optional) — Choose to join the Edventures community to connect with other first-time founders, get help with the platform, and much more
- Subscription (optional — Choose between the Free or Pro tier
Step 1: Profile details
You’ll be asked for:
- Date of birth — You must be at least 16 years old to use Edventures
- Gender — Optional, for personalisation
- Location — Select your city (knowing where you’re based will make our AI more relevant when providing coaching and advice)
- Bio (optional) — A short description of yourself
- Profile photo (optional) — Personalise your space even more by uploading a photo for your profile
Step 2: Topics
Choose the topics that interest you. These can include areas like:
- Advertising, Agriculture, Arts & Media
- Business Services, Consumer Goods, Education
- Finance, Food & Beverages, Healthcare
- and many more
Select all that apply. This helps Anna tailor content and advice to your interests to create a truly personalised experience.
Step 3: First project (optional)
A business project is where you’ll work on a specific idea or venture. You can create your first business project right away or skip this step. All you need to provide in this step is a name for the business project, along with a description of the business idea. This information will be a starting point for Anna to help you with your business. See Choosing your first business project for more guidance.
Step 4: Discord (optional)
You can choose to join our Discord community. This is a great way to connect with other entrepreneurs and get support with your business project, or on how to use the app. You can skip this if you prefer.
Step 5: Subscription (optional)
Choose between Free and Pro:
- Free — Get started with core features. Limited chat messages, one project, and smaller limits on action plans and notes.
- Pro — More chat messages, more projects, more AI assistance, and higher limits.
You can change your subscription at any time in the app. See Understanding Free and Pro for a full comparison.
Finishing up
Once you complete all steps, you’ll land in the app and can start exploring. You can always update your profile or preferences from your account settings.
