A business project in Edventures is where you work on a specific idea or venture. Everything you do — chat with Anna, your Business Model Canvas, action plans, notes, and team — is organised inside projects. This guide gives you an overview.
What is a business project?
A business project is a container for one idea or venture. Think of it as a workspace. Inside each project you have:
- Anna chat — Conversations about that specific idea
- Business Model Canvas (BMC) — Your business model for that venture
- Action plans — Plans and action points
- Notes — Project notes
- Team — People you collaborate with on that project
Each project is separate. Switching projects switches your context.
How many projects can you have?
Your subscription tier determines your project limit:
- Free — 1 business project
- Pro — 5 business projects
If you’re on Free and need more projects, consider upgrading. See How to upgrade to Edventures Pro.
The project overview screen
When you select a project and go to the project overview, you’ll see the main sections:
- BMC — Your Business Model Canvas. Fill in the segments to map your business model.
- Action plans — Create and manage action plans. Break goals into steps.
- Notes — Add and organise project notes. Anna can help generate or refine them.
- Team — Add team members and manage collaboration.
- Settings — Project settings (e.g. name, description).
You can switch between these sections using tabs or a sidebar within the overview.
Creating a new project
- Use the project switcher in the sidebar.
- Look for Add project or Create project.
- Enter a name and, optionally, a description.
- Confirm. Your new project will appear in the switcher.
Note: You can only create more projects if you’re within your tier limit (1 for Free, 5 for Pro).
Switching between projects
Use the project switcher at the top of the sidebar. Select the project you want to work on. Your chat, BMC, action plans, notes, and team will update to show that project’s content.
Tips for organising projects
- Name clearly — Use names that describe the idea (e.g. “Eco packaging startup”, “Local bakery”).
- One idea per project — Keep each project focused on one venture.
- Use the overview — Check the overview regularly to see your BMC, plans, and notes in one place.
