If you decide to leave Edventures, you can delete your account. This guide explains how to do it and what to expect. Account deletion is permanent, so please read carefully before proceeding.
Before you delete
Deleting your account is permanent. This means:
- Your profile, projects, chat history, notes, and all other data will be unlinked from your unique user ID and completely anonymised.
- You will not be able to recover your account or data after deletion. We do not save or keep any personal details in your profile.
- If you have an active Pro subscription, it will be cancelled on the date the current subscription ends. We do not offer any refunds.
Consider alternatives:
- Take a break — You can simply stop using the app. Your account will remain inactive.
- Downgrade to Free — If cost is the issue, you can downgrade instead of deleting. See Managing your Edventures subscription.
How to delete your account
If you’re still set on deleting your account, then do the following:
- Open the sidebar and click on your name in the bottom left to open your Profile page.
- Scroll down to the bottom to reach the “Danger zone” section.
- Click on Delete account.
- Enter your password, then click Delete account.
- Your account is now deleted.
Important: Once you confirm, the deletion cannot be undone.
After deletion
- Your account and data will be removed according to Edventures’ data retention policy.
- You may receive a confirmation email.
- If you had a Pro subscription, ensure you understand how billing is handled (e.g. whether you’re charged for the current period).
If you change your mind
If you haven’t deleted yet, simply cancel the process and close the dialogue. If you’ve already deleted your account, you would need to create a new account. Your previous data cannot be restored.
